Camping in Spain
Spain is a fantastic place to indulge in the unique camping experience.
There are hundreds of campsites in the popular areas of Spain known as Costa
Brava, Costa Verde and Costa Dorada. Although these coastal areas are now
major tourist spots, there are still some hidden away areas of unspoilt beauty
including the Pyrenees in the north. Camping holidays in Spain allow you
the chance to get off the beaten track and explore some of these.
There are also many campsites situated in Catalonia that borders with France.
This region has a contrast of landscapes including flat areas of vineyards
and olive groves and the jagged rocky coastlines of the Costa Brava. Barcelona
can also be found here and is a must for everyone on camping holidays in
Spain. There are always day trips by coach if you don't have your car with
you. Barcelona is one of the most exciting cities in Europe and boasts
some of the most magnificent architecture, including many stunning buildings
designed by Gaudi. Picasso and Miro also spent most of their lives here
and there are excellent museums housing some of their best works. Barcelona
also has many excellent markets selling superb antiques and crafts.
There are plenty of other great cities and towns to explore including Valencia, Seville, Toledo and Bilbao – which offer sights, galleries, museums and excellent food.
